05 Jun Are hedge funds turning to responsible investment?
The Financial Times reports that hedge funds are committing an increasing proportion of their assets to responsible investment strategies. According to a survey of 80 investment managers, 40% of hedge funds have already hired a responsible investment specialist or plan to do so, while with 38% claim to use environmental, sustainable and governance factors to evaluate investment opportunities. Only 20%, however, have signed up to the UN’s Principles of Responsible Investment, with over 60% having no intention to do so.
You can read more on the survey, which was carried out by the Alternative Investment Management Association and the Cayman Alternative Investment Summit, in the Financial Times.
