The Treasury Committee has published a report calling for a cultural shift in the financial services sector to address the lack of gender diversity at senior levels. The report looks at the barriers facing women in finance, and found that most stemmed from the ‘alpha-male’ culture common in many financial institutions.

Recommendations to organisations include: establishing clear criteria to assess bonuses, publishing strategies to address the gender pay gap and encouraging senior men to normalise flexible working by leading by example.
