14 May Firms join social impact investing taskforce

In 2016, the UK Government commissioned an independent Advisory Group to make recommendations for growing a culture of social impact investment and savings in the UK. Following publication of the Advisory Group’s report last year, Prime Minister Theresa May has now asked Elizabeth Corley, vice chair of Allianz and chair of the original Advisory Group, to lead a Taskforce to progress recommendations from the report.

So far, more than 20 financial services companies have pledged their support to the Taskforce, including Big Society Capital, Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and Big Issue Invest. You can read more on the Taskforce members here, or read the original report Growing a Culture of  Social Impact Investing in the UK here.
