A new report, based on data from the Financial Conduct Authority, has revealed that women in financial services are still very much in the minority at senior levels. Only 14% of partners at private equity firms, hedge funds and other financial services companies are women, an incremental 2% increase since five years ago.

Commenting on this data, Chair of the Treasury Select Committee, Nicky Morgan, said ‘the women in finance charter has been effective at raising awareness on gender diversity, but as this sluggish progress shows, there is still a considerable way to go.’
